We have an exciting opportunity to join the Mission Systems Pricing and Cost Estimating organization. The Cost Estimating Analyst is responsible for bidding the labor costs for all of Mission Systems. Developing relationships is key as this position works closely with various functional teams; pricing, engineering, procurement, program management and operations to prepare audit supportable estimates in support of US Government Proposals.

What You Will Do

• Handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Utilize SAP Project Systems to pull and analyze GPD labor actuals

• Perform variance analysis to previous bids

• Understand manufacturing cost flows and application of labor rates and factors

• Peer reviewing labor, material, and bid files with excellent attention to detail

• Identify and quantify proposal risks and opportunities

• Review estimates with proposal teams to provide business insight in support of gate reviews

• Collaborate with leadership and various functional teams to gather information, share insights, and facilitate informed decision-making

• Support customer fact finding and government assist audits

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and FAR/DFARS requirements

• Travel up to 5%

 What You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

 Qualifications We Prefer

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and SAP to include Project Systems

• Familiarity with BidMaster.Web (BMW)

• Excellent communication and analytical skills

• Strong time management skills, to ensure bids are completed on schedule

• Capable of working both independently and in a team environment

• Ability to travel onsite for customer negotiations or other special events
