Join the dynamic team at Collins within the Protected Communications Systems (PCS) business. We are seeking a talented Program Cost Scheduling and Control Analyst to manage the Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) program within our Airborne Mobile program office.

This position requires an individual who will provide program financial leadership and support and who possesses strong knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting, analysis, and compliance.  The Sr. Analyst, Program Cost Controls will possess general business knowledge and be able to support frequent financial reviews with management. 

This role offers visibility within the PCS organization, with frequent exposure to senior management. The individual joining the program will be a key part of a fast-paced finance team where strategic thinking, multitasking and individual initiative are key requirements. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key program and cross-functional leaders to analyze performance variance to targets and to exercise solid risk and opportunity management practices.
  • Will own all financial aspects of the program and help the program team follow finance policy and procedure to ensure program compliance as required by the contract and by company policy.
  • Execute a variety of program/financial control activities.
  • Support quarterly Estimates-at-Complete (EACs), monthly forecast reviews, Ops/Business reviews, EVMS compliance, and all required internal/external monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting.
  • Provide program financial leadership and perform financial planning responsibilities in support of the monthly forecast process to accurately forecast bookings, sales, profit, and cash, and support balance sheet analysis and cash management.
  • Develop and present various charts and offer suggestions to management.
  • Support frequent financial reviews with management.
  • May require domestic travel.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Financial and program controls experience
  • DoD reporting requirements experience
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in APEX EV and working knowledge of the SAP functions
  • Understands Financial planning principles
  • Financial controls experience relative to multiple contract types
  • Understanding of RTX financial and accounting policies and procedures
