Bargaining Unit/Anticipated Salary Range: MEA Administrator; Level II; $42,477.22 - $46,415.99
Responsibilities: This position assists the Executive Director of Rural Development Initiatives (EDORD) in the daily operations of EMCC’s campus centers and rural locations served. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to student support services, performing clerical and administrative work, and providing exemplary customer service in a professional manner. This position oversees business and administrative functions including processing students’ registrations, creating invoices, bank deposits, credit card processing, tracking purchases, ordering office supplies, managing the bid process, advertising, contracts, building leases and other business office functions. Working with instructors, this position orders required textbooks, obtains course syllabi, student attendance, course lists, course evaluations, certificates of completion and invoicing for services, leases, and tuition. Assists the EDORD with coordinating business and industry training/courses as well as public programming. This position assists the EDORD with marketing the center, courses, events, and programs. This position also provides advising support to students for program and course registration. This position will also represent the EDORD at business functions and community meetings as needed, as well as hosting business and community events at the center. This position is based out of the Katahdin Higher Education Center located in East Millinocket.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education or related field, MS Office Proficiency. A minimum of an Associate’s degree with 6 years of related experience will be considered in lieu of BS degree.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 6 or more years of administrative/clerical office work including supervision of student employees.
- A successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Superb customer service skills with a strong focus on positive engagement with students, employers, and community partners.
- This person will demonstrate excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and have strong attention to detail.
- Previous work with students in a community college setting.
- Experience using a Student Information System (SIS).
