Job Description Summary:

Utilize evidence-based medical nutrition therapy to assess and reassess nutrition risk and identify nutrition needs. Develop and implement nutrition care plans to support oral and/or nutrition support needs. Participate in quality improvement initiatives/committees. Provide nutrition counseling to patients and families as warranted. Participate in multidisciplinary interaction and education.

At least 75% of time is dedicated to patient populations within their area of expertise, supported by board certification in a nutrition specialty. Specialty areas include NICU, bariatric, renal, cardiac, diabetes, nutrition support, pediatrics, oncology, transplant, and geriatrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Certification obtained from the following nationally recognized organizations, required (other certifications not listed above will be reviewed by clinical nutrition leadership as requested on an individualized basis):

• National Board for Nutrition Support Certification
• Commission on Dietetic Registration Certifications
• Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education
• American Associate of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation
• The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice, Inc.
• North American Transplant Coordinators Organization
