Jr. Product Owner, Content Management Systems
TIAAAbout the role
The Jr. CMS Product Owner is part of the Web Publishing team, which is responsible for the efficient, timely, and error-free publishing of public and secure marketing content on behalf of the entire enterprise. The Jr. Product Owner supports the ongoing management, enhancement, and development of the public website's Content Management Systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Play an integral role in the Agile team to deliver best-in-class web user experiences and operational processes
Leverage multiple IT systems for reporting and issue triage purposes, including analytics, CDN, and A/B testing platforms
Collaborate with business units, Web Property Owners, and Web Strategists to shape and execute the product strategy that meets enterprise goals, engage in business case development, and ensure adherence to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) process
Work with web development, UX, and QA teams daily to help deliver new technology and code for TIAA marketing web properties
Promote accessibility and universal design best practices at the foundation of development and contribution work
Contribute to the maturity, performance and growth of the Agile team, including but not limited to the creation of user stories, story grooming with developers, Program Increment (PI) planning, and product owner acceptance testing
Write and groom well-formed user stories that describe and detail enhancements, bugs, or templates, create acceptance criteria, and validate stories as they are completed
Work daily with scrum teams to prioritize, refine, groom, and track stories and bugs
Support IT deployment activities with methodical, comprehensive validation testing
Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas: identifying opportunities for process optimization and redesign that will accomplish objectives more quickly and at a higher level of probability
Communicate frequently with internal clients across lines of business and support areas to advise on optimal web experiences based on existing component library and site functionality, and provide suitable alternatives to requested experiences that are unsupported by the CMS
Advise the enterprise web publishing team on all aspects of existing and new CMS contribution features
Conduct website contribution audits to identify opportunities for training subjects
Serve as the secondary point of contact for all issues related to the CMS contribution environment and partner with the Production Support team on troubleshooting and resolution
Operate at the front lines of the public web property to quickly and efficiently collaborate with MarTech and external teams on new functionality and projects

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience contributing to a web content management system, including familiarity with template concepts and usage, the range of asset types involved in creating web pages, publishing workflow, and general asset administration; experience contributing to multiple Content Management Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience contributing to a web content management system, including familiarity with template concepts and usage, the range of asset types involved in creating web pages, publishing workflow, and general asset administration; experience contributing to multiple Content Management Systems
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
- Knowledge of digital marketing concepts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and fluid environments
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Meticulous attention to detail, with demonstrated ability for accuracy and thoroughness
- Ability to analyze and manage project risk
