As an Associate Director, Patient Access Solutions – Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) Resource Support, at Gilead you will play a critical role in enabling patient access by leading the strategy, development, and execution of access and reimbursement educational resources.
This role sits within the Patient Access Solutions Support Program and is responsible for developing compliant, effective access and reimbursement materials that support the HIV Prevention Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) team. The Associate Director provides strategic oversight of FRM tools and resources, ensuring alignment with market access strategy, patient support program objectives, and the evolving needs of healthcare providers and their office staff.
This position collaborates closely with cross‑functional partners including Marketing, Market Access Payer Strategy, Trade, Commercial Learning & Development (CL&D), Patient Support, and FRM teams. The Associate Director leads the planning, governance, and continuous improvement of FRM materials, tools, and training, with a focus on delivering consistent, high‑quality provider and patient experience across brands and therapeutic areas.
This role is based in Foster City, CA and not open to Remote work.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the creation, execution, and ongoing optimization of access and reimbursement materials, resources, and tools for the HIV Prevention FRM team, with potential support across the broader FRM portfolio.
Ensuring all FRM materials align with patient support program positioning, access strategy, and compliance requirements.
Partnering with FRM, Patient Support, and Access & Reimbursement colleagues to translate payer landscape insights, acquisition models, and reimbursement dynamics into effective educational resources.
Collaborating with internal and external partners to support the effective use of digital tools, portals, and data to address patient and provider access challenges.
Managing agency and vendor relationships in partnership with Patient Support teams to ensure high‑quality, compliant deliverables.
Leading annual planning for FRM materials and resources, identifying access barriers and driving innovative, compliant solutions.
Overseeing governance and review processes in collaboration with Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Market Access, National Accounts, Brand, and Trade partners.
Leading FRM Team training needs and planning of the FRM National and Mid‑Year Meeting.
Ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to patient support programs and field‑based reimbursement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Degree and Fourteen Years’ Experience
