About Sonepar USA

Sonepar is an independent family-owned company with global market leadership in B-to-B distribution of electrical products, solutions and related services. Today, Sonepar serves the market through a network of companies with over 400 locations nationwide.

 

You will be responsible for the day to day accounting and maintenance of the balance sheet and income statement for an operating company or companies. You will report to the Accounting Manager, Shared Services (Sonepar USA).

What you will do

• Perform monthly general ledger close which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, and corporate reporting submissions. Quarterly and annual submissions are also required as well as cash and line of credit accounting including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain relationship with operating company management to resolve questions/issues that arise in the normal course of business including opening/closing branches, lease/buy decisions, etc.
• Work with the AR, AP, and operating company teams to research, explain, and resolve transaction variances and aging items. 
• Perform special projects and ad hoc requests to include system conversions (payroll, ERP, fixed assets, etc).
• Assist with annual and securitization audits by pulling documentation and preparing schedules upon request.
• Fixed asset accounting including maintaining asset records.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree In Accounting/Finance Required

Experience

• Entry level to 3+ years operational/financial accounting experience Required
• Distribution industry Preferred
• Experience within a Shared Service model Preferred

 

***This is a Hybrid position and is expected to be in the off Tuesday through Thursday with remote options for Monday and Friday.
