As a Manager Project Manager at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company. In this individual contributor role, you will be challenged to excel and lead alongside the brightest talent in the industry and be rewarded for your achievements.

Responsibilities:

• Leading large complex, cross-functional projects by providing strategic direction to senior leaders and peers

• Quickly put structure in place through integrated project management in a dynamic, complex environment

• Operate effectively in whitespace to deliver results

• Design, develop, and manage project plans, RAID trackers and project artifacts, revising needs to meet changing requirements

• Problem solve and influence to ensure project plans deliver on intent

• Partner cross-functionally with project stakeholders  to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

• Communicate efficiently and with excellent judgment to senior executives and diverse groups throughout the organization to manage, inform, and influence outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification

• At least 5 years of Project Management experience

• At least 3 years of experience in tech implementations and managing cross-functional scope 

• At least 3 years of experience with agile, waterfall and/or hybrid methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 8 years of Project Management experience

• PMP, Lean, Agile, Six Sigma certification or a combination

• Experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, Monday, Jira)

• Experience using decomposition to create project plans

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Project Management

 

Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project Management
