Reports To: Receiving Supervisor
Shift: This shift starts between 8:00 AM-10:00 AM
Schedule: Sundays are mandatory
Pay: $25.80
Job Type: Full-time
The Receiving role is primarily responsible for counting, measuring, and weighing incoming freight to verify contents of shipments against bills of lading or invoices by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities and Duties
- Unload trucks – record case counts, weights, quality, temperatures.
- Receive / Document inbound shipments.
- Checks shipments for quantity and quality.
- Stock inventory in multiple warehouses.
- Identify damaged and expired products.
- Pick up and/or return product to airport.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and dock per sanitation guidelines.
- Perform duties in accordance with Safety Quality Food (SQF) Level 3 standards and requirements. (Training provided)
- Performs and documents quality control checks per Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Guidelines. (Training provided)
- Ability to work flexible shifts as necessary to meet customer demand.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers
Qualifications
- Must have previous warehouse experience
- Forklift experience - Certification required within 30 days of hire into the position.
- Proven ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. (Must pass a Math Skills Test).
- Physical stamina and strength
- Basic Computer skills needed
- Ability to take and pass a drug screen, fitness test and background check
- This position is Union and all drivers will be required to join the Teamsters, local chapter 455.
Preferred
- Previous experience driving a 14–20-foot box truck
- Valid driver’s license
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
