The Work You Will Do:

This position serves as a Consolidated Disabled Veterans’ Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialist / Local Veterans’ Employment Representative (LVER) and is responsible for assisting with the development of the service delivery strategies for veterans and educating partner staff with current employment initiatives and programs for veterans.  

 

The Difference You Will Make:

This position will also provide outreach and facilitate placements to meet the employment needs of eligible veterans and eligible spouses entitled to benefits, in accordance with priorities as determined by the Federal Department of Labor. This position confers with Management to assist in identifying improvement processes and develop solutions for the Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) program.

The available online training resources vary to include Vets-Veterans Intake and Priority of Service at CareerSource Webinar, Vets-Local Veterans Employment Rep Refresher Webinar and Tier Two-Vets webinar, you will use your skill and insight to connect businesses with the talented workforce and job seekers with the training needed to succeed and grow.
