Ecommerce Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

The eCommerce (D2C and D2B) Accounting Specialist will ensure risks are mitigated through daily review and processing of direct to consumer transactions, addressing issues in a timely manner. Completes monthly reconciliation and analysis of accounts for ecommerce and Carhartt Company Gear (CCG) D2B website business to ensure accurate financial reporting. Follows procedures for reconciling and timely identifying and resolving issues for the newly launching D2B website.

Representative Responsibilities

• Processes ecommerce and D2B website transactions daily 
• Analyzes transactions daily to separate timing differences from variances requiring further research 
• Ensures accurate reporting of customer charges occur using data from banking partners and credit card websites and resolves disputes with credit card companies.  Partners with Customer Service to ensure customer credits are addressed timely. 
• Actively identifies issues causing discrepancies between SAP and Cybersource.  Escalates issues and submits tickets where IT assistance is needed for resolution.
• Actively identifies process improvements and efficiencies to automate interactions between operating system and banking partners.  Partner with IT to address and resolve issues identified and efficiencies to streamline and support D2C growth. 
• Maintains procedure documentation for both ecommerce processing as well as D2B processing, ensuring unique elements of the D2B business are addressed. 
• Performs and maintains monthly reconciliations of eCommerce and D2B payment accounts to ensure accurate reporting occurs and issues are identified and addressed timely. 
• Assists in gathering data for documentation of measurement against established KPI’s

 

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience preferred

 

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years’ experience in Accounting
• 2 or more years’ experience with credit card transactions and merchant services preferred
• Proficient in use of Excel
• Excellent written and oral communications with proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and external parties. 
• Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Office environment, cubicle setting
• Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required
• Able to work some evenings or weekends if necessary
• This position has a Remote location: Associate will have no regular requirement to be on-site. Travel on-site is limited to special events.
