<p><b>RWE Supply &amp; Trading GmbH </b></p> <p><b>To start as soon as possible, full time/part time, permanent</b></p> <p> </p> <p>Join one of Europe's leading energy companies and take on a dynamic role with future growth opportunities being involved in the sustainable developments within the energy market, specifically with regard to the use of renewable energy sources (wind, solar) and investments in new technologies, such as battery storage and hydrogen. </p> <p> </p> <p>The team you will be joining: The Continental Legal Team of RWE Supply &amp; Trading (RWEST) provides legal advice on all legal issues relating to commodity trading, solutions for large industrial customers, green energy purchase agreements, hydrogen sales agreements, legal requirements and much more. </p> <p> </p> <p><b>About the role </b></p> <p>For the Benelux team of RWEST we are looking for a driven Legal Counsel with approximately 5- 7 years of experience in a law firm or energy company. As Legal Counsel, you will play an essential role for RWEST in the Benelux, one of RWE's markets. You will directly report to the head of the Legal Benelux team. Your tasks will include:  </p> <ul> <li>Contemplating, reviewing and drafting of commercial energy agreements for the Benelux sale business</li> <li>Providing legal support to sustainable projects in the Benelux</li> <li>Liaise with the commercial department(s) to provide contractual and legal input for sustainable projects and Benelux sale business</li> <li>Advising on regulations in the Benelux in the field of energy-related matters in the broadest sense of the word</li> <li>Proactively advising on new laws and regulations and their impact on business operations and legal documentation</li> <li>Take part in global working groups internally to implement and analyse the impact of EU Regulation to RWE’s business</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Job requirements and experience</b></p> <ul> <li>University Law Degree in Dutch law, supplemented with approximately 5-7 relevant work experience, in the field of energy</li> <li>Experience in an international legal position at a law firm or in the legal department of an international company, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and commercial environment</li> <li>You have strong analytical skills, being able to assess the risks, balancing an hands-on approach with accurate legal assessment </li> <li>You have a well-developed sense of relationships within an organization</li> <li>Fluent in Dutch and English (both verbally and in writing)</li> <li>An open, positive personality who has the ability to learn and adapt</li> <li>A feel for commerce and thinking in terms of challenges instead of problems</li> <li>Ability to work independently </li> <li>Willing to travel and occasionally is willing to travel to Essen, headquarters of RWEST </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b>Advantageous, but not essential</b></p> <ul> <li>Experience in the energy sector </li> <li>German language skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>What we value most is passion, willingness to learn and a determined and resilient work ethic.
