Kyo is seeking an experienced and innovative HR Systems & Operations Manager who thrives at the intersection of people, process, and technology. This role blends strategic HR operations with technical innovation, focusing on system optimization, automation, and continuous improvement across the HR function. The ideal candidate is a tech-forward HR professional who’s as comfortable troubleshooting HR processes as they are handling complex employee relations issues. You’ll lead efforts to streamline HR workflows, leverage automation tools (including AI-driven solutions such as custom GPTs), and ensure compliance with employment laws—especially in California, where most of our clinical operations are based.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 DOE and Location
While this is a remote role, you must reside in the metro areas of California or Texas

RESPONSIBILITIES (include, but are not limited to):

HR Systems & Technology (40%)
- Serve as the primary administrator for Paylocity, managing workflows, permissions, reporting, and integrations.
- Evaluate and implement automation solutions to improve HR efficiency—e.g., using AI tools, chatbots, or data connectors to reduce manual administrative work.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytics to track KPIs such as turnover, engagement, and performance trends.
- Partner with IT and vendors to ensure HR systems are secure, optimized, and compliant.
- Manage system upgrades, data migrations, and testing cycles with precision.
- Research and implement emerging technologies (including custom GPTs and AI automations) to enhance HR service delivery and data accuracy.
HR Operations & Employee Relations (60%)
- Oversee core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence, and performance management.
- Conduct and support employee relations investigations, documentation, and resolution in alignment with company policies and values.
- Partner with leaders to ensure ADA accommodations, corrective actions, and performance improvement plans are managed effectively and consistently.
- Develop and standardize HR policies, procedures, and templates to support consistency across states and departments.
- Provide guidance and training to HR team members and managers on policy interpretation, compliance, and best practices.
- Monitor HR metrics, identify trends, and propose strategic process improvements.
- Serve as an internal consultant on California employment law, staying current on legislative changes impacting HR operations.
- Serve as the primary administrator for Paylocity, managing workflows, permissions, reporting, and integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in HR systems administration or HR operations.
- Strong technical proficiency, including Paylocity (or comparable HRIS), Excel/Sheets, and experience with AI automation tools or custom GPT workflows.
- Deep knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, systems implementation, or HR technology projects.
- Exceptional analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent).
