Patient Care Technician, Full Time Days, Endoscopy, Morristown Medical Center

Responsible for assisting pre-op and recovery patient's ensuring the need of each patient is met.

Principal Accountabilities:


1. Stocking pre and post op supplies including linen.

2.Collect and clean stretchers/wheelchairs, make stretchers with clean linen

3. Escorting discharged patients and family to their car or discharge lounge.

4. Assist patients with undressing & dressing if needed.

5.Attach patient to cardiac monitor, BP cuff and O2 sat. Attain patient’s temperature and report to RN.

6. Check patient’s blood sugar if ordered.

7. Perform urine pregnancy if ordered.

8. Pick up meds from pharmacy if ordered.

9. Bring specimens to lab/pathology

10. Removal of IV's in recovery room as per nurse order.

11. All other duties as assigned

 

Required: 
1. HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred: 
1. 1-2 yrs PCT or NA experience in a procedural setting.

2. Current BLS or can be obtained during introductory period.
