Data Collective Clerk/Specialist

SolidCam is a renowned company specializing in Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Collection Clerk/Specialist to join our team. As a Data Collection Clerk/Specialist at SolidCam, you will play a crucial role in the accurate collection, organization, and management of data to support our CAM software development and research efforts.

In this role, you will work closely with our software engineers and researchers to collect and validate data from various sources, including internal databases, external APIs, and user feedback. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the data collected and maintaining documentation of data sources and collection methodologies. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our data collection processes and assist in identifying patterns and insights from the collected data.

Responsibilities

• Collect and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Organize and maintain databases, data dictionaries, and metadata
• Create and execute data collection plans and strategies
• Document data sources, collection methodologies, and data quality procedures
• Develop and maintain data collection tools and scripts
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and inconsistencies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and support data-driven decision making
• Assist in data analysis and reporting activities as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Previous experience as a data collector or a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data collection and management tools, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good understanding of data quality principles and practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with programming languages, such as Python or R, is a plus
