What you’ll achieve

Participate in the development of next-generation large-scale AI Infrastructure with focus across leading AI sub-systems: Networking technologies, Thermal / Cooling, and Power systems. Engage with high profile AI customers to develop supply chain solutions for their applications.  Work closely with the suppliers, CTO organization, and hardware engineering to enable the supply base to move at scale.  Develop make/buy strategies, create financial analytics on the supply base, and component cost analytics on future technology opportunities and product requirements.  Additionally, partner with Procurement and Operations to lead longer term supplier and category strategies.

You will:

Work with internal partners and the supply base to develop advanced AI infrastructure solutions.  Develop business cases for future product strategies and cost analytics to drive long term sourcing strategies. Specific activities include:

• Supplier Engagement: Engage with the supply base on future technologies, analyzing technical product requirements for cost and supply chain enablement readiness
• Supply Base Development: Build and mature the supply base to increase the number of players for optimal long term sourcing strategies
• Time to Market Improvement: Improve speed to market by performing early supplier enablement, cost and financial analytics, and supplier development. 
• Next-Generation Readiness: Enhance readiness for next-generation (N+1, N+2) solution components
• Cost and Supply Continuity: Build an advantage in cost and continuity of supply for AI solutions
• Procurement Collaboration: Engage directly with procurement on supplier development strategies

Essential Requirements

• Strategy Development: Create and implement business and financial strategies to support future technology requirements
• Procurement Management: Oversee procurement processes for pre-concept solutions, ensuring cost-effective and efficient acquisition of technology resources ready for large scale deployments.  Enable procurement teams to run at scale as products transition to regular development cycles
• Analytical Expertise: Utilize advanced analytical skills to support decision-making and optimize technology investments
• Make vs. Buy Analytics: Conduct make vs. buy analyses to determine the most cost-effective and strategic approach for technology solutions
• Cost Analysis Modeling: Develop and apply cost analysis models to evaluate new technologies
• Business Case Analysis: Proficiency in preparing and evaluating business cases
• Data Management: Expertise in data management practices and technologies

Desirable Requirements

• 15+ years industry experience with bachelor’s degree or equivalent skill

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $160,000 - $239,000.
