Senior Manager – Infrastructure & Cloud

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Manager – Infrastructure & Cloud to lead the day-to-day operations and optimization of our IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Azure Cloud and on-prem systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who wants to grow into a Director role in the future. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, security, and scalability of SpectraMedix’s platforms in a healthcare MSP environment.
Job Description
Infrastructure Management
- Manage and optimize Azure Cloud infrastructure, including resource provisioning, performance tuning, and cost management.
- Oversee co-located data centers and on-prem virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Monitor and support core infrastructure services including networking, storage, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams for infrastructure planning and implementation of system upgrades or migrations.
Cloud & Security Operations
- Maintain a security-first approach by following best practices in access control, encryption, patch management, and incident response.
- Support basic compliance efforts (e.g., HIPAA / HITRUST security guidelines), with deeper security audits handled by the internal security team.
- Coordinate with security teams for managing firewalls, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning, and risk tracking.
- Administer identity and access management using tools like Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, etc.
Team & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a small team of system/network engineers and cloud administrators.
- Serve as a point of escalation for infrastructure-related issues and coordinate cross-functionally with application, support, and data teams.
- Work with the sales and solutions teams to provide infrastructure input for proposals and change requests when needed.
Projects & Process Improvement
- Lead infrastructure-related projects including cloud migration, system automation, and performance optimization.
- Develop and maintain documentation, SOPs, and monitoring dashboards to ensure uptime and system visibility.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, working alongside leadership.
Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3–5 years managing cloud environments, especially Azure.
- Experience in Healthcare IT, Healthcare MSPs, or Healthcare regulated environments is strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), Active Directory, networking, backups, and system monitoring tools.
- Hands-on experience with scripting or automation tools is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on uptime, scalability, and performance.
- Ability to manage a small team and coordinate projects independently.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or higher (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-500)
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management certification
- CompTIA Security+ or similar basic security credential (preferred but not required)
