Basic Job Functions:

 Senior Accountant I will maintain operational data used to report financial results, including preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, account reconciliations and various general ledger entries.  The Senior Accountant is responsible for analyzing operational data, including cost analysis, Divisional comparisons, and other ad hoc reports, as needed. They will assist with implementing and performing internal controls over financial reporting.  Helps lead and drive various financial-related projects. They will report directly to the Accounting Manager.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related business field
• 3 years of related experience as an Accountant or Financial Analyst at Nucor or equivalent outside role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• MBA, CPA or CMA
