Compensation Range:
Anticipated compensation range of $31.00 - $37.20 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience.Department:
839000 PharmacyExpectations:
Under supervision of the Pharmacy Director, the Buyer generates purchase orders for pharmaceuticals, supplies, equipment, and services, while assuring that the hospital receives the most advantageous pricing, terms, and delivery dates. Assists pharmacy director by recommending vendors and products, and evaluates vendor and product performance. This position may require flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION:
Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
One to three years experience in a similar position of responsibility.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Registered Pharmacy Technician License issued by California State Board of Pharmacy
Preferred:
CPhT issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
SKILLS:
Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office suite. Basic understanding of hospital accounting procedures. Web based purchasing. Good understanding of 340B rules and regulation.
