The Walt Disney Company's Disney Entertainment (DE) group includes the company’s full portfolio of entertainment media and content business globally, including streaming (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Star+, and Disney+ Hotstar).

Job Summary:

Disney Entertainment is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that will play a key role in supporting leadership with financial, strategic planning and analytical support across Disney Entertainment Marketing. As the Marketing organization continues to expand in scope and shift towards a more centralized operating model, this new function will aid with developing insights to optimize investment and prioritize initiatives that drive engagement across the business.

This role will support marketing, finance, and executive stakeholders across a variety of distribution platforms and brands ranging from Disney Entertainment’s Direct-to-Consumer platforms (Disney+ and Hulu) to linear TV brands such as ABC Entertainment, ABC News, Freeform, National Geographic, and Disney Branded Television, which consists of hundreds of original titles on Streaming and Network platforms. This position will have the opportunity to work collaboratively across a variety of teams in the marketing and finance organizations and gain broad strategic finance experience in the media industry.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Partner with Disney Entertainment (DE) Platform teams (Streaming / TV Networks) to support ad-hoc strategy and analysis projects across brands.

  • Provide insights on how brands can optimize investments levels by tracking and benchmarking relevant KPIs.

  • Produce and optimize consolidated, executive reporting across all brands biquarterly forecasting processes and historical marketing performance

  • Provide ongoing title-level tracking and reporting, highlighting key business impacts

  • Analyze competitive landscape and opportunities for marketing to make key business impacts

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

  • 2+ years of relevant finance/business experience in investment banking, media, entertainment, management/strategy consulting, or similar fields

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Embrace working in a highly collaborative environment

  • Ability to prioritize and sequence projects of varying complexity and length

  • Ability to multi-task, work well with others in a fast paced environment, and keep supervisor promptly informed

  • Understanding of the direct-to-consumer and linear television economic model

  • Expert Excel skills; experience building operating models and analyzing large data sets while applying strategic thinking

  • Excellent communication and PowerPoint skills; ability to distill analyses into structured outputs

  • BA/BS required

The hiring range for this position in NY is $97,170.00 – $130,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
