Job Description
Wynn Las Vegas is looking for a Senior Data Security Engineer to join Wynn's core Security team. Partnering and collaborating closely with other passionate technical professionals to build the best-in-class data management applications. Responsible for expanding and optimizing data, data pipeline architecture, controls, information life-cycle management, and optimizing data flow by collecting data to enhance the organization's data governance.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that infrastructure is secure via controls and documentation
- In conjunction with the access management team, establish and manage effective identity and access management for all data sources
- Create and maintain optimal and secure data pipeline architecture and methodologies
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional security requirements
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, extensibility, and security
- Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, commercial products and cloud technologies
- Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipelines to provide actionable insights into data security and other key GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) metrics
- Work with stakeholders to assist with data-related technical and security issues and support their data needs
- Meet the necessary regulatory and jurisdictional requirements to keep our data separated and secure across national and international boundaries through multiple data centers
- Assist with GRC, mitigating risks and establishing controls
- Other job duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Statistic, Information Systems, or similar quantitative disciplines with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Data Engineer role
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), and familiarity with a variety of databases
- Solid foundation in cloud data architecture and data warehouses
- Working experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on internal and external data, processes to answer specific security and regulatory questions and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Must have strong analytic and attention to detail skills
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
- Experience in Data Governance, Data Management policies, procedures, standards and methodologies
- A successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable data stores
- Ability to establish strong partnerships to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Must be experience using the following software/tools:
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases: Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, Databricks
- Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, GoldenGate, Qlik
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala
- Experience with Data Security and identity management tools: Database Activity Monitor, IAM, DLP (Data Loss Prevention)
- Experience with Metadata Management: Data Lineage, Impact Analysis, Semantic Analysis, Classification and Taxonomy (Oracle Enterprise Metadata Manager, Alation, IBM)
- Experience with Information Lifecycle Management: Records retention, classification, destruction
- Experience with Data Management tools: OneTrust, Collibra
- Familiarity with relevant data regulations: Gambling regulations, NIST, ISO27001, PCI (Payment Card Industry) DSS, GDPR and CCPA
