Pay Range
$93,090 - $113,988 Annually at the E01.2 level
$111,600 - $136,656 Annually at the E01.3 level

Job Description
We have an opening for a Business Analyst to support the financial processes and product improvement strategies in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). You will be matrixed to support functional customers and systems in Finance. You will be responsible for partnering with functional area subject matter experts, learning their business processes, identifying strategies for improvement, and developing and executing implementation plans. Our Financial applications span accounts payable, travel accounting, payroll, and TIME and are supported using Oracle EBS, ePay/Infor, OnBase, Service Now, Jira, and Peoplesoft 9.2. You will report to the Help Desk, Analyze & Test Team, and your team leader.
You will
- Coordinate efforts for the system process improvements and help to ensure all action items are added, tracked, and reported out on a regular basis.
- Assist in gathering project documentation and quality requirements. Partner with functional experts to understand and analyze current business processes and workflows, develop alternative approaches, and facilitate implementation of new or enhanced business and technical solutions.
- Monitor tasks to include internal and external deliverables and ensure responsibly parties are completing activities on time to support closure.
- Gather performance data, assist in analysis, and make recommendations that may include schedule variance analysis and preparation of recovery or corrective action plans.
- Perform SharePoint site administration and maintain organized shared document structures.
- Communicate effectively between leadership and the functional teams. Provide consultative support to Disbursement leadership team to monitor deliverables and tracked action items.
- Assist in the development of programmatic documents such as reports, decision memos, external responses, and action items.
- Perform initial analysis of requests to change, add or enhance existing processes or system functionality, engaging a variety of functional and IT stakeholders as appropriate. Analyze the impacts of change requests, effort needed to implement, and disposition as a bug fix, enhancement, or project with a recommended priority level.
- Conduct assessments of current processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Research and prepare documentation for user guides, training manuals, and process checklists for disbursement systems.
- Develop system test strategies and plans, perform system testing and create and execute automated test scripts in support of Disbursement application maintenance tasks and projects.
At the E01.3 level you will
- Lead cross-functional process improvement project teams, gather and translate complex user requirements, deliver process streamlining methodologies, make recommendations for new system strategies, and communicate solutions to stakeholders.
- Perform complex analysis to assess and identify opportunities to improve functional process or system performance. Develop and implement strategies for addressing process gaps.
- Be responsible for end-to-end process maps and create or enhance existing process documentation and mapping.
