The pay range for this position is between $128,033-$147,239 annually.

Summary

As the Senior Director of Crisis Care, you will lead and grow a dynamic department that includes statewide Suicide Prevention Counseling and Disaster Care services, Suicide and Self-Harm Support Services in Orange County, and future clinical programs as they are developed. You will build and strengthen program infrastructure, shape crisis and disaster care operations, and set strategic direction while providing strong clinical and operational leadership. In this role, you will ensure programs operate efficiently and cost-effectively and remain fully compliant with agency standards, accreditations, contracts, grants, and policies. You will also partner closely with agency leaders to design and sustain trauma-informed systems of care that support individuals and communities in crisis.

Primary Duties

Program Leadership

• Provie strategic direction and leadership for all outpatient counseling services within the Suicide Prevention Counseling Center, ensuring excellence in client care and staff performance.
• Develops realistic and measurable objectives for therapeutic out-patient counseling programs within the Suicide Prevention Center.
• Provides leadership to program staff, ensuring that all services meet or exceed contractual performance goals; ensures delivery of services in accordance with contracted guidelines and Didi Hirsch philosophies.
• Forms a highly effective team to accomplish short- and long-term goals for the department.
• Identifies opportunities to increase the visibility and reputation of programs and represents the program at events, in media interviews, through conferences, board leadership, etc.
• Lead strategic growth of crisis and disaster care services, ensuring alignment with community needs, payer requirements and organizational sustainability goals.  Develops strong partnerships with agencies and key stakeholders in the community that could serve as referral sources and experts to grow the programs.

Management Duties

• Performs managerial duties to include interviewing applicants for employment; assigning and reviewing progress of assignments; conducting performance appraisals; recommending salary increases; and developing higher levels of expertise in staff members by encouraging further education, participation in seminars and providing learning opportunities within applicable and related fields.
• Coaches staff in the development of their work plans, their assigned duties, responsibilities, management of projects and scope of authority.
• Offer clinical supervision and mentorship to licensed clinicians, interns, and support staff, including oversight of crisis situations.
• Attends, participates, leads and/or facilitates routinely scheduled meetings as requested or required for the program, division, or Agency.  
• Interfaces with related community agencies, attends meetings as scheduled and/or needed. 
• Collaborates with Business Development on payer negotiations, contract strategy, new clinical offerings and demonstrating program outcomes to external partners. 

Program Quality, Compliance and Reporting

• Measures progress against plans and stated goals as it applies to program documentation and contract/grant deliverables.
