Senior IT Ops Engineer

Help us build and redefine our IT system.  

At CB Insights, we build software that predicts business and technology trends. We are seeking a Senior IT Ops Engineer to join our team and support our growth. The ideal candidate is a skilled technologist who loves automating IT operations, while delivering brilliant customer service and enjoys working with similar-minded colleagues in a collaborative, small-team environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Main point of contact for IT support.
• Automating and enhancing in-place automation to streamline IT operations
• Onboarding, offboarding, and daily support of internal users.
• Ensuring that IT tickets are addressed in accordance with defined SLA’s
• Continuous improvement of documented IT procedures and policies.
• Develop a “customer-centric” culture, build relationships with internal business customers, and other groups within Engineering.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience with Mac and Windows operating systems in a corporate environment
• Expert knowledge of G-Suite and JumpCloud for identity and access management
• Expert knowledge of computer management and MDM using Jamf and Microsoft Intune.
• Experience managing corporate networks including wifi. Hands on experience with Ubiquiti a plus
• Experience managing and working with the Atlassian product suite, Slack, etc.
• Experience with inventory management using AssetSonar or similar products.
• Experience with anti-virus tools such as Crowdstrike
• 3+ year/s Scripting experience (Bash/Python/Powershell).  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid working knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, NAT, firewalls) and related architecture and design concepts.
• College degree required, CS degree preferred.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Please note this is a US-based role.

In addition to base salary, this role is also eligible for a bonus opportunity.

A little bit about our pay practices: Typically, we will hire at our Hiring Target, but actual starting pay may be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation, candidate experience, and budgetary constraints.

Compensation$104,000—$132,000 USD
