Senior Computer Vision Applied Researcher

<h3><strong>Hi there!</strong></h3><p dir="ltr">Hi there!</p><p dir="ltr">We are Tooploox and we work on projects that improve people’s lives - in line with our mission, we have already changed the way people invest their money, build houses and take care of their health (just take a look at our client portfolio). </p><p dir="ltr">Feel invited!</p><p dir="ltr"><strong>What you will do:</strong></p><ul> <li>Develop and refine computer vision models to tackle new challenges and<br/> improve the performance of existing large-scale computer vision systems,<br/> with a focus on product understanding;</li> <li>Stay abreast of the latest research in computer vision and machine learning,<br/> and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within CV capabilities;</li> <li>Lead research experiments and present their results. </li> </ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>Experience and skills you need to join us:</strong></p><ul> <li>MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related technical field ;</li> <li>Research capabilities with focus on Computer Vision;</li> <li>Experience in applying research to industrial problems;</li> <li>Proficiency in programming with Python<br/> - Ability to rapidly prototype<br/> - Designing and managing medium to larger size software projects </li> <li>Proficiency in deep learning libraries, including PyTorch;</li> <li>Strong critical thinking and analytical skills;</li> <li>Effective communication skills (example: ability to clearly report your research<br/> results);</li> <li>Ability to work responsively and proactively (taking ownership) in a remote<br/> environment with different timezones;</li> <li>Leading/driving research and design experiments;</li> <li>Expertise in one or more of the following areas:<br/> - Identity recognition<br/> - Image matching<br/> - Visual fingerprinting<br/> - Image registration </li> <li>Fluency in Polish and English (you will attend meetings with English speaking clients).</li> </ul><p dir="ltr"><strong>It would be great if you also have:</strong></p><ul> <li> <strong></strong>Familiarity with image retrieval systems;</li> <li>Experience with cloud environments (Docker, GCP);</li> <li>Experience with Hadoop.</li> </ul><p></p><p dir="ltr"><br/></p><p><br/></p><ul> </ul><ul> </ul>
