About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and driven Residential Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of residential properties. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, tenant satisfaction, and financial performance across assigned assets.

  • Manage daily operations of assigned residential properties, including legal , tenant relations, and vendor coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns and ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Coordinate with superintendents, porters, and third-party vendors to maintain building conditions and complete repairs
  • Ensure compliance with NYC regulations, including HPD, DOB, and other agency requirements
  • Monitor rent collections and arrears; coordinate with legal counsel on nonpayment or holdover proceedings
  • Conduct regular property inspections and implement corrective action as needed
  • Manage and track work orders and maintenance requests to ensure timely completion
  • Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting in coordination with internal teams
  • Support capital improvement projects and ensure proper execution and documentation
  • Maintain accurate property records, tenant files, and reporting within MRI or related systems

Preferred Skills

  • Experience managing mixed portfolios (walk-ups, multifamily)
  • Familiarity with legal processes related to housing court and tenant disputes

  • 3–5+ years of residential property management experience, preferably in NYC
  • Strong knowledge of NYC housing regulations (HPD, DOB, rent stabilization/market-rate practices)
  • Experience with property management systems (MRI preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities in a fast-paced environment
