Job Description
Summary/objective
The Gymnastic Coach teaches age-appropriate gymnastic skills using vault, uneven bars, beam and floor equipment. The Gymnastics coach works with children ages 3-8 ensuring a safe, fun environment.
Essential functions
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Teach fundamental elements of gymnastics in a fun safe environment
- Be responsible for the safe set-up of gymnastics equipment
- Communicate with participants and/or parents regarding schedule
- If unable to work, proactively seek substitutes for your shift and immediately inform supervisor of the substitution
- Be in proper Coach/Instructor uniform at all times while at work and always present the acac brand and standard anytime and anywhere the acac uniform is worn
- Ensure ongoing familiarity with acac programs to manage questions and communicate knowledgeably to acac members and guests
Requirements
Physical demands
- Must be able to successfully instruct and demonstrate proper gymnastics techniques
- Must be able to actively participate in instruction
- Must be able to move equipment, with assistance, of approximately 100 pounds and spot (catch or lift) children of approximately 100 pounds
Required competencies, education, and experience
- At least one year of gymnastics coaching experience
- High School diploma preferred
- Genuine interest in coaching children
- Must be at least 18 years old

- Deliver five-star service to members and guests with friendliness, direct eye contact, and a pleasant demeanor at all times
