We are offering an exciting opportunity as Senior Engineer for O&M Support to be an important part in paving the way for Vattenfall and its customers and partners towards a fossil free future!

As Senior Engineer for O&M Support in the Primary Steel Department you will be responsible for maintenance and repair of the foundations on Vattenfalls growing fleet of offshore wind farms.

The Business Area Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s onshore and offshore wind development, construction and operation as well as other non-hydro renewable activities like solar, PV and batteries. Our offshore business is amongst the top three players in our North-Western European core markets, and we are currently constructing the world’s first subsidy free offshore site.

The Primary Steel Department is part of the Engineering backbone in Vattenfall offshore wind. In the department we are working with the wind turbine foundations all the way from early feasibility studies through to the final phases of the operation. As a team we are delivering input for the tender bids and generating detailed design of foundations ensuring that we are working with state of the art methodologies, enabling Vattenfall to be on the forefront of enabling a fossil free future. Together with our Generations Department, we ensure that our spinning assets are operating safely as long as possible.

What will you do?

As our new Senior Engineer for O&M Support for maintenance and repair you provide detailed advice to internal and external stakeholders on issues related to the existing assets of our foundation systems. You will focus on our internal engineering team but with strong links to the rest of the organisation. You will be part of the project team doing detailed foundation design, where you will be one of the main focal point for issues regarding to our existing assets.

More specifically you will

• Support the organisation by providing technical solutions based on hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of industry best practice
• Be the focal point in the department for issues regarding repair, maintenance or lifetime extensions of our existing assets
• Have close cooperation with different stakeholders in the organisation
• Drive knowledge sharing and lessons learned within the organisation
• Support a team of designers or external consultants for reassessment works
• Build a knowledge base on the status on our existing assets
• Have close cooperation with the foundation design team, to ensure that lessons learned are captured in future designs

Location  
The work location can be Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Hamburg in Germany, London in UK, Stockholm in Sweden or Kolding in Denmark. Some travel within Northern Europe should be expected.
