Job Description

ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the incoming/outgoing packaging, inventory and logistics of Sirtex’s Liquid Embolic product line.   Operating as part of a team in a cleanroom environment, this position follows SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures); adheres to Quality, Safety and Environmental standards; meets production/logistics targets and communicates with supervisors, engineers, and other Operations and Quality personnel; assists and works collaboratively with all other departments.

  • Ensure product is being handled with strict adherence to all Manufacturing, Quality, Safety and Environmental SOPs.
  • Receive incoming packages, verify contents and update in SAP
  • Work with 3PL partner
  • Work with Production and Facility staff to ensure that critical stock items and maintenance supplies are maintained within acceptable stocking levels
  • Manage escalations for expediting & tracking critical part shipments
  • Monitor and support the activities of buying materials, equipment, machinery and supplies
  • Continuously evaluate processes with regard to quality, safety, environmental, and productivity enhancements.
  • Maintain good housekeeping within their work area.
  • Notify supervisor of any issues that can negatively impact compliance, safety, or productivity. 
  • Assist other departments when reasonable and necessary tasks are required for compliance, efficiency, etc.
  • Actively participate in manufacturing meetings.
  • Participate in process improvement and cost saving initiatives.
  • Train in all areas (manufacturing and packaging) in order to successfully rotate between the functional duties and support changing production needs
  • Keep current on all required training.
  • Assist with project work or inventory management duties during downtime between production runs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or specialized training preferred
  • 3-5 Years of logistics experience, medical device/ pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in reading/writing in English required
  • Results/deadline oriented with effective follow through    
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: positive, respectful and customer focused
  • Ability to operate all material handling equipment operated in the Warehouse Operations
  • Experience with 3PL partners preferred
