Resident Services Assistant

Description

Join our Resident Services Department! We are looking for a qualified candidate will be personable, have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task, and display knowledge of the unique needs of the senior population.

Work Schedule: Part Time (weekends) - Saturday & Sunday with other days as needed

Some responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with other departments to full fill resident requests (Engineering, Nursing, Housekeeping)
• Proactively assist members and/or resident families with request and questions about services
• Assist in Dining room during meal times
• Assist with new resident move-ins/outs
• Other duties as assigned by Resident Service Manager
• Distributions of mail
• Some front desk receptionist coverage, dining room cover, and other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to Multi-task and follow instructions
• Responsible and Punctual
• Takes Initiative & is Proactive
• Customer Service experience
• Basic computer typing skills

Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in social services, recreational therapy, or a related field is preferred.
2. Strong organizational and communication skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and volunteers.
4. Understanding of federal and state regulations related to resident care and activities.
5. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
6. Must be able to understand, follow, support and initiate policies and procedures of the facility.
7. Must be able to recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
8. Must clear criminal background check and health physical screening
9. Must be at least 18 years of age
10. Must be able to relate with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility.
11. Must demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations.
12. Must be able to clear DOJ fingerprint livescan and TB screening test
