You will join our Pipeline department within the Energy Transition Division

You will be part of a department with many interesting projects such as traditional gas infrastructure pipelines and facilities, as well as the green transition, with a growing portfolio of Hydrogen and CO2 pipelines, as well as submarine cables to offshore wind farms. We perform the design work for the pipelines and cables in the department, and cover all phases of the projects, from Feasibility to FEED to Detailed design, as well as site supervision, so you will be able to see the result of your work directly applied in construction onshore and offshore.

Job Description

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Pipeline engineering and project engineering management, including Client Interfaces, Third Party Comments resolution
• Experience in Rigid and Flexible pipelines are considered
• Knowledge of pipeline design software such us  SIMLA, ANSYS, OrcaFlex
• Natural gas, H2 and CO2 pipeline design.
• Pipeline Cost Estimating
• Pipeline FEA Analysis
• Subsea power cable design and management
• Mechanical and Installation Analysis / Design
• Landfall Design (for pipelines and cables)
• Project Report writing and presentations
• Support on Proposals / Tendering, preparation of CTRs (budgeting and estimation)

Qualifications

• M.E. / B. Tech. / M. Tech in Marine Structures / Structural Engineering / Offshore / Ocean engineering (from reputable university)
• Professional experience as Offshore Pipeline Engineer / Cable Specialist for a minimum of 7 years.
• Minimum 4+ years of experiences as senior offshore pipeline engineer in making feasibility studies, concept design, FEED, and detailed design of offshore pipeline.
• Experience with H2 and/or CO2 pipeline systems would be an advantage
• Experience with Subsea Cable Design (Routing / Mechanical) would be considered as advantage
• Experience in landfall design and trenchless construction techniques would be an advantage
• Must be familiar with the relevant pipeline and cable industry codes and standards (DNV, API, ASME, NACE, CIGRE, IEC)
• Have good client focus and project reporting skills.
• Confidence in own ability in relevant problem solving.
• Ability to focus on solutions and have some degree of self-motivation to reach the target, including mentoring fellow engineers within the team

• Experience in supervising junior engineers and co-ordinating with drafting team / designers
• The desire to learn and use Ramboll’s in house software named ROSAP for structural design
• Ensure that Ramboll’s Code of Conduct, values and quality assurance system is followed all time
• A good team member and readiness to extend support to team members whenever required
• Willingness to go for an extra mile; flexible and positive
