What You’ll Do

CoreWeave is seeking a Security Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and maintenance of our rapidly expanding global physical security network. This role is built for a technical owner with deep expertise in enterprise access control, video surveillance systems, and the mission-critical infrastructure that powers them.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of sophisticated networking skills, a mastery of the Genetec Security Center ecosystem, and a proven ability to integrate complex third-party systems within Azure or GCP environments. We are looking for a collaborative, customer-centric engineer who pairs technical administration expertise with the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.

This role is based out of our Security Fusion Center in Livingston, NJ. The position requires up to 10% travel - including international assignments for on-site project execution—and flexibility for after-hours support to ensure the resiliency of our global operations.

About the Role

  • Oversee CoreWeave's comprehensive physical security engineering infrastructure, including video surveillance, access control, visitor management, intrusion detection, and intercom systems in support of our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
  • Develop and own a comprehensive library of system documentation, including architectural diagrams, disaster recovery/business continuity plans, and troubleshooting playbooks. Ensure existing system resiliency (24/7/365).
  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for new system uplift and an escalation point for internal users, providing advanced support for access, credential, or hardware/software issues.
  • Configure and harden CoreWeave's hardware and software infrastructure for security operations, ensuring alignment with published standards and industry best practices.
  • Lead technical root cause analysis for system outages or performance degradation, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Manage the lifecycle of deployed hardware, associated licensing, and service contracts; contribute to annual budget forecasting for upgrades and maintenance.
  • Adhere to and refine change management processes, ensuring all system modifications are meticulously documented, tested, and approved.
  • Monitor system health and perform checks to ensure the integrity of hardware, server resources, and peripheral security systems.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in Physical Security Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical infrastructure role
  • Advanced expertise in the Genetec Security Center platform, including Directory, Archiver, and Synergis roles, as well as failover configurations and API/SDK integrations
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, including deployment, maintenance, and system hardening
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, VLANs) and SQL databases, including data integrity management and troubleshooting
  • Proven experience integrating third-party systems and deploying field solutions in collaboration with external vendors
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Google Workspace applications
  • Experience collaborating effectively with internal teams, vendors, and external partners

Preferred:

  • Certifications: GSEC, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CISSP, or manufacturer certifications (Genetec, Axis, Hanwha, Bosch).
  • Specialized Experience: Experience engineering for a Physical Security Operations Center (SOC) or managing IT-related projects.
