About the role

Job Summary

The Associate will report to the Associate Director, Transparency & Aggregate Spend, and assist with OAPI and OPDC aggregate spend financial transparency reports, adhering to federal, state, and international regulations. The position will be out of Rockville, MD. or Princeton, NJ.

Job Description

  • Collect and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness for transparency reporting.
  • Support and contribute to end-to-end management of financial transparency data quality errors and work with internal and external stakeholders to determine root causes, requirements, and resolutions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of data and compliance processes to identify and address issues.
  • Escalate data integrity issues, as appropriate.
  • Utilize various systems and tools to ensure accurate financial transparency data tracking and reporting (policy violation alert reports review, value assessment, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect necessary information and address any reporting issues.
  • Develop or update processes- identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and establish and maintain work practices for new and existing transparency processes.
  • Monitor and analyze financial transparency data and trends, and design and develop reports and presentations for cross-functional teams to provide analytic intelligence to identify potential risk areas, develop, and recommend action plan(s) for resolutions, as needed.
  • Stay updated with evolving US and Ex-US healthcare compliance laws and regulations such as Sunshine Act, EFPIA, and other state laws.
  • Act as an independent reviewer of situations to help ensure the compliance issues within the Company are being reviewed and resolved in a timely fashion.
  • Provide support to the Associate Director, Manager, and Management as needed.
  • The role will evolve as the needs of the team and business are determined.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of applicable healthcare industry including 2 years data analysis experience.
  • Experience working in a variety of systems (e.g., Concur, MedPro, etc.).
  • Experience with federal, state, and international financial transparency reporting.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable laws, regulations, codes, statues, and business standards that may impact a healthcare organizations' Compliance Program (e.g., PhRMA Code, OIG Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, Anti-Kickback Statues, Sunshine, EFPIA, etc.).
  • Ability to synthesize information from diverse sources.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and regulatory information.
  • Ability to accomplish goals with minimal supervision both independently and as a team member.
  • Proven track record in delivering results, self-starter, and ability to manage complexity and ambiguities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in working with the Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Preferred

  • 3-5 combined years of work experience in compliance function in the healthcare industry
