About the Role

The Communications & Partnerships Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Indigo Junction’s fundraising, partnership development, and marketing efforts. This multifaceted role involves coordinating donor engagement, managing philanthropic relationships, maintaining donor databases, and supporting events and promotional activities. It also contributes to the implementation of the organisation’s Communication and Marketing Strategy by creating content, managing social media platforms, scheduling posts, tracking performance metrics, and aligning campaigns with organisational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organisational, and relationship management skills, with a passion for making a positive social impact and connecting with the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Donor & Partner Engagement: Support the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic foundations on behalf of Indigo Junction.
  • Fundraising & Marketing Support: Assist in preparing grant applications, funding proposals, donor reports, and related fundraising materials.
  • Communications & Digital Engagement: Assist in writing grant applications and donor reports, track key deadlines, and collaborate with internal teams to gather impact data and stories.
  • Database & Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor and partner records in the CRM system (e.g., Giftnow).
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and delivery of donor and partner events, including cultivation dinners, briefings, and recognition activities.
  • Other Duties: Undertake other tasks as directed by senior staff, in line with organisational priorities and capabilities.

What You’ll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant human services area and at least 3 years appropriate experience; or demonstrated equivalent
  • Proven experience in community fundraising and donor relations and successful revenue outcomes
  • A sound understanding of relationship management and community engagement
  • A warm, positive and influencing communication style
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach
  • Passion for creating positive social change
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. Giftnow) is a bonus
