Senior Database Engineer

<p>We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Database Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in deploying and optimizing database solutions used by services covering a wide variety of performance and capacity requirements. </p> <p>Our “Network Management” team is delivering cutting-edge products that help telecom operators manage their networks and ensure a connected world. As part of the team, you will have a key role in shaping the future of our product by ensuring that architectural proposals meet challenging requirements of rapidly growing telecom networks and keep us competitive in a rapidly evolving market. With the 5G era already here, join a team that adds a new piece to the World's telecom breakthroughs every day. </p> <p><u>As part of our team, you will:</u><br/><br/>• Own and drive database design in your components. <br/>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in a microservices architecture. <br/>• Provide technical expertise and guidance to our development teams during implementation of our solutions. <br/>• Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization in product architecture evolution. <br/>• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to support our business requirements. <br/> </p> <p><u>You should have:</u><br/><br/>• Proven experience with Oracle Database Administration. <br/>• Expertise in DB performance tuning and SQL tuning. <br/>• Hands-on experience in scripting languages like Perl, Shell and Python. <br/>• Experience in solution deployment on Kubernetes and related tools. <br/>• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. <br/>• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </p><p>  <br/><u>It would be nice if you also had: </u><br/><br/>• Experience with Postgres, MariaDB and Elasticsearch. <br/>• Knowledge of Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus. <br/>• Oracle Database Certified Associate (OCA) or equivalent. </p> <p></p> <p>Come create the technology that helps the world act together<br/> <br/> Nokia is committed to innovation and technology leadership across mobile, fixed and cloud networks.
