Site Supervisor

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

A Site Supervisor at Catholic Charities:

  • Supervises and assigns locations/location responsibilities to Family Service and Volunteer Specialist. 
  • Leads, supports, and provides ongoing training to volunteers.
  • Collaborates with Community Engagement Specialist in volunteer appreciation efforts.
  • Coordinates ongoing training & educational opportunities for volunteers.
  • Recruits/supports volunteer recruitment for all Marisol Family locations.
  • Training and Onboarding of new volunteers – both short and long-term.
  • Responds to, documents, and works to address volunteer concerns.
  • Maintains relevant databases.
  • Incorporates interns and service groups into the Marisol Family mission.
  • Scheduling: works with volunteer leads at his/her regional houses to ensure all shifts are staffed and fills in where necessary.
  • Works to grow leadership/investment in others through close collaboration with volunteer leads.
  • Conducts periodic coordinators meeting with regional volunteer leads.
  • Maintains up-to-date area resource guides for each of their regional locations.
  • Provides direct service to families and individuals, and models Marisol Services values for volunteers.
  • Utilizes CC leadership model to share leadership of sites with volunteer leads, build strong volunteer teams, and set clear and consistent expectations for site operations and client interaction.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key area resources.
  • Assists with client care and referrals as needed.
  • Conducts regular weekly to monthly routine of site visits to locations as needed including 1x per month visit to locations outside metro area.
  • Works with director to respond to particular regional concerns of non-metro locations and build/maintain relationships with those local communities.
  • Supervises and works together with Family Service and Volunteer Specialist to build best practices with volunteers and clients; maintaining appropriate uniformity across locations, while respecting unique cultural/practical realities of each location).
  • Creates and sends out monthly internal volunteer newsletter.
  • Keeps Director and MF team apprised of the client, volunteer and parish partner realities in his/her region.
  • Physical maintenance of sites: assesses and coordinates necessary maintenance, cleaning, IT needs (including phone, computer, printer).
  • Supplies: keeps regular supply inventory for each site particularly diapers/wipes.
  • Collects and submits needed data
  • Assists Family Engagement Specialist with client programming 
  • Collaborates with Community Engagement Specialist to implement Christmas, back-to-school and other programming 


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Family Service and Volunteer Specialist 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS  

  • Demonstrated proficiency in administrative procedures
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to lead others in an empathetic, collaborative manner 
  • Trauma-informed mentality and/or willingness to learn trauma-informed practices 
  • Able to collaborate in a parish environment 
  • Able to promote and support life-affirming philosophy of client care
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and the appropriate techniques and practices for the client population. 
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Agency staff, volunteers and with a diverse client base.
