About the Role
The Supervisor of Patient Accounts (Operations), working under the guidance of the Manager of Patient Accounts, is primarily responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Data Control and Work Distribution units. This role involves coordinating workflows, supervising staff activities, and ensuring that all processes within these sections are carried out efficiently and in alignment with departmental goals and standards. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining operational accuracy, productivity, and compliance within the patient accounts function.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Reports directly to the Manager of Patient Accounts.
- Oversees the daily operations of the Data Control and Work Distribution units.
- Coordinates workflows to ensure smooth and efficient processing of patient account activities.
- Supervises staff within assigned sections, providing guidance, support, and performance oversight.
- Ensures all processes align with departmental goals, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Plays a key role in maintaining operational accuracy, productivity, and regulatory compliance.
- Contributes to continuous improvement efforts within the patient accounts function.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in patient charge input operations.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
- Proficient in personal computer (PC) use and related software applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is SS/21S: $57,157 - $83,248 per year in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
