Job Description

As a Managing Director of Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) Sales, you will be responsible for developing a dynamic strategy to drive sales growth and enhance our ABS business, cultivating and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, and working closely with our trading, syndicate, and banking teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients while maintaining efficiency and mitigating operational risk for U.S. Bank

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of relevant ABS and/or structured products sales experience

  • Series 7 and 63

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • A thorough understanding of the fixed-income and ABS markets, all related ABS industries, sectors, securities, structures, and models

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build reliable rapport with clients and stakeholders 

  • Must have strong, established relationships with current ABS investors

  • Ability to travel frequently for investor visits, roadshows, and industry conferences

  • A proactive and innovative sales approach, driving efficiency and growth of the business through consistency and accountability that generates business

  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to multi-task and thrive in a dynamic environment

  • A can-do attitude to delivering honest results

  • Work collaboratively with sales team to drive results

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a comprehensive ABS sales strategy, managing institutional investor client relationships, building, and retaining new relationships that align with the goals of the business and the bank, driving ABS market share and impact for our clients

  • Collaborate with partners in ABS trading, syndicate, banking, and strategy to enhance product offerings, to meet the needs of our clients, while mitigating all market and operational risks

  • Analyze market trends, regulations, and values, along with competitor activities, to identify opportunities that maximize the growth of the ABS business

  • Ability to adapt and expand as our platform grows into more sectors and expands client base

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to maintain operational control, efficiency, and compliance

  • Visit clients regularly and attend industry conferences to promote the ABS capabilities of the bank

  • Mentor and train a team of ABS sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture
