Why this role is important  
The Senior DSP Engineer will lead specific activities related to the development of 5G NTN waveform and digital front-end for LEO satellites. The ideal candidate has tracked record experience in advanced communications algorithm development, communications systems modelling and simulation for hardware implementation on SoC.  This position will report to the DSP Team Lead and will work closely with Systems, RF, Software and Hardware Engineering Teams.  The successful candidate will be based in the Toulouse (France) but interact frequently with the E-Space office in Germany.

What you’ll be doing

• Developmentand testing of 5G waveform and advanced communications algorithms for LEO satellites 
• Development of software testbed to simulate the end-to-end communication channel, including RF and propagation impairments 
• Adapting DSP algorithms for implementation on DSP or SoC or Silicon, down to RTL 
• Contribute to the research and development of satellite LEO communication systems  
• Create test bench and simulate end-to-end 5G PHY and satellite LEO communication systems  
• Propose PHY signal processing algorithms and proof them in simulation or prototype  
• Implement 3GPP standard compatible features in C and evaluate them on representative data 
• Generate test waveforms and test cases for 5G PHY and satellite communication functionalities 
• Participate national or EU funded projects and attend corresponding meetings 
• Coach and train other members of your team 

What you bring to this role

• Master Degree of PhD in Telecommunications Engineering or Physics 
• At least 5 years in a similar role 
• Matlab, Python, C/C++, VHDL Programming 
• 5G Waveform, Beam-Forming, MIMO 
• Experience in producing algorithm down to RTL 
• Experience is working with SoC for Communications Systems  
• Ability to work in a team but also autonomously with little supervision
