About the role

Job Description Summary

The Data Acquisition Software Test Engineer will play a key role in supporting critical engineering development programs across GE Vernova Gas Power through a balanced combination of hands-on testing and software development. This position is focused equally on the practical application of data acquisition systems in test environments and the development of software tools that enhance testing capability and efficiency.

Approximately 50% of the role involves hands-on test support, including setting up instrumentation, configuring data acquisition systems, executing tests, and collecting and analyzing data to support engineering evaluations. The remaining 50% is dedicated to software development in LabVIEW and C#, creating and improving applications that enable test automation, data management, system integration, and overall test process improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with test hardware and measurement systems while also developing software solutions that improve the speed, quality, and effectiveness of engineering test operations.
