Play a pivotal role as Director of Data Engineering. Data Engineering is part of the Professional Services team. The Data Engineering team performs the entirety of the ETL process on behalf of our customers in Implementation. The team also builds and maintains custom reports for specific customers and performs data manipulation or clean-up for any customer that may need assistance after Implementation.

What You'll Do:
Be a technology leader who can act as a knowledge expert and guide a team of engineers in the decision-making process.
Be a people leader, manage and grow people. You understand the value of people and team diversity as you partner up with the recruiting team to build the best in the industry teams.
Focus on processes and understand how to balance complex priorities and demanding business timelines.
Create a strategic vision for your team that aligns with the Professional Services priorities, vision, and mission.
Design, build, and operationalize data engineering solutions for ServiceTitan data, analytics platforms and products.
Develop self-service data and analytics capabilities to empower users to navigate our data ecosystem.
Automate quality monitoring and respond to alerts when data delivery SLAs are not being met.
Assess and recommend architecture frameworks, design and implement high-performance complex solutions to support data and analytical products.
Evaluate and implement efficient distributed storage and query techniques.
Champion high-quality code with corresponding test coverage. Participate in regular code reviews and engage in constructive discussions.
Implement CI/CD and other automation techniques to streamline data ingestion and delivery processes.
Champion Data Governance, Compliance and Security best practices.
What You'll Bring:
B.S., M.S. or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
15+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Data Engineering roles
Experience with Python, Java, Scala or a similar programming language
Experience with Big Data Technologies (Hadoop, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
Experience with SQL skills
Experience managing the Data infrastructure on a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong experience (at least 3+ years) with the following are preferred
Azure Cloud Computing
Snowflake / Databricks / Spark
Dbt
Airflow
SQL / Python / Scala / Java
7+ years of hands-on management experience with a track record of hiring and growing teams as well as providing coaching and mentoring. Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.
Experience leading data architecture and design
Data modeling and Data warehousing concepts
Data transformations, standardizations and ETL processes
Software Development best practices, code reviews and QA/Testing methodologies
Data governance, security, and compliance
