About the role

The Parking Supervisor position assists with the daily supervision of Union Parking Staff, Front Line Customer Service, PARCS Equipment monitoring, Fee Processing, and various daily cash reconciliation for shift.  This position is the first point of contact via intercom for parking customers that are having problems in a drive lane.  

Shift: Wednesday through Saturday, 6am to 4pm

Pay: $19 - $20.50/hour 

The pay listed is the hourly range for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service – The Parking Supervisor Lead is the primary point of contact for all customer service needs for parking at the airport.  There are a variety of customers that may need assistance.  These include the traveling public in our parking areas, airport employees with monthly parking, general questions regarding parking at the airport.
    • Phone Skills, will answer all incoming calls to parking office.
    • Intercom Skills, communicate via intercom base station to customers in the drive lanes that are having problems.
    • Utilize the PARCS system to address Customer Service issues as needed.  This may include processing of parking fees, raising gates remotely, resetting parking counts or other duties as assigned.
  • Union Staff Supervision – The Shuttle Bus Driver, cashiers, janitorial, maintenance, and rover staff are members of a local union. Typically, there is one of each position working during a given shift for a total of 3 to 5 employees per shift. 
    • Supervisor is to direct union hourly staff as needed to provide exceptional customer service levels.  There are a variety of items which this staff assist with our customer service.
    • Rover Position – This position is directed by the Supervisor to Directly assist customers with payment or ticket processing in the drive lanes.   Supervisor may direct Rover to specific drive lanes that need assistance, or to assist with Jump Starts, Tire Inflation, etc.
    • Maintenance – Supervisor will direct this position to assist with equipment repairs, or other tasks associated with maintaining the parking operations.
    • Cashiers – Supervisor oversees cashier activity for parking customers.  Ensure cashiers process tickets properly and assist with Cash Reconciliation at the end of cashier shift.
    • Janitorial – Supervisor oversees one janitor for cleaning of Rental Car Area located on the ground floor of the Garage.
    • Shuttle Bus Driver – This position is directed by Supervisor to coordinate shuttle service for the Park & Ride parking operations at the airport. 
      • Assign Staff Bus Credentials etc. associated with the Shuttle Bus
      • Communicate with Shuttle via Radio
      • Direct Shuttle Services as needed to provide superior customer services. 
  • Administration Duties as Assigned – ABM performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in association with our parking management operations.  Depending on varying needs supervisors are required to assist with the tasks as assigned.

    • Shuttle / Fleet Documentation
    • Employee Warning Documentation
    • Customer Service Documentation
    • Other Duties as assigned
  • Work Schedules / Wages
    • Supervisors work 8-to-10-hour shifts. 
    • Shifts are scheduled two weeks in advance. 
    • Typically, a supervisor will work a fairly fixed schedule.
    • Weekend work is required!
    • ON Call for Snow Removal is required
      • Typically, this is coordinated one or two days prior to a snow event.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One to two years employee supervisory position
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
  • Excellent Verbal Communication Skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Experience with POS systems a plus
  • Experience with Intercom and Radios a plus
  • Experience with Parking Systems or Security Computer Systems a plus
  • Flexible Schedule to help cover sick leave or vacation time for other Supervisors as needed
  • Must have valid Drivers License
