The Manager Facility Services- 1 supervises the construction services related to capital improvements for INTEGRIS Health in electrical distribution system, medical gas system, hazardous materials and asbestos abatement and encapsulation, plumbing systems, patient care equipment, emergency power generation, uninterrupted power distribution systems, minor construction and remodel tasks. The Manager Facility Services responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Provides coordination for all asbestos abatement and encapsulation for INTEGRIS Health 
  • Provides supervision for all remodeling of patient and non-patient areas 
  • Provides supervision for all capital construction of electrical circuits, plumbing equipment, medical gas piping, mechanical equipment, patient care equipment, hydraulic equipment, emergency power generation and life safety equipment 
  • Prepares cost estimates, specifications, engineering standards, statements of work, purchase requisitions between INTEGRIS Health, contractors, and interior decorators * Manages the activities of all outside contractors 
  • Ensures all specifications, codes and INTEGRIS Health standards are maintained on all contracted and in-house efforts 
  • Reviews plans and specifications to ensure life safety codes, national fire protection codes, state licensure regulations, BOCA and JCAHO regulations 
  • Accepts completed tasks from outside contractors and sub-contractors and ensures all documentation of completed work is received prior to final payment approval 
  • Provides supervision for the proper construction procedures of other INTEGRIS Health owned and operated construction buildings 
  • Administers the operational budget of the construction cost center and maintains records and costs of capital expenditures for INTEGRIS Health 
  • Ensures all projects and activities are compliant with all applicable codes and regulations 
  • The Manager Facility Services reports to the Assistant Director Construction. The Manager Facility Services of INTEGRIS Mental Health - Spencer reports to the Administrator Inpatient Services. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. Precaution must be taken to avoid possible exposure to 480 volts of electricity, which may result in immediate death. Exposed to mineral spirits, ammonia (kefa) naptha, adhesives, solvents, foam, asbestos, fiberglass, steam, bleach, acids, herbicides, pesticides, paints. Utilizes drills, knives, saws, nails, and splinters. Exposed to electricity, dust, soldering fumes, noise, outside weather conditions, temperature changes. Must wear protective clothing all day. 

 

  • 2 years technical trade schooling or equivalent 
  • 5 years experience in trades or construction experience 
  • Contractors license in either plumbing or mechanical, or 8-10 years experience 

Preferred Job Qualifications: 

  • Supervisory experience 
  • Formal, industrial, constructors, or military training in construction and maintenance procedures 
  • Credits in mech
