As a project delivery lead, you will work closely with the William Blair Private Wealth Management Business Analytics team to deliver analytics and automation solutions that meet the growing needs and demands of WB PWM users. You will be responsible for defining scope, documenting detailed requirements and creating project delivery plans to implement Microsoft Power Platform solutions for various PWM business initiatives.  You will work closely with the software engineers to ensure that solutions are built to specifications and that product meets quality requirements. This role requires a professional with expertise in project management and systems development life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of analytics and automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with PWM business and tech objectives.
  • Work in close alignment with Product Owner to drive execution of the PWM Analytics and Automation vision and roadmap.  
  • Translate roadmap into executable delivery plans and develop associated project plans and related artifacts. Define project vision, goals, tasks and resources in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring comprehensive project planning.
  • Ensure that projects meet timelines, budgets, and objectives. Maintain day-to-day operational aspects of projects, providing direction and support to project team. Update plans as appropriate to meet changing objectives.
  • Perform duties and document artifacts related to business analysis, such as scoping, requirements documentation and illustrate current and future state process diagrams.
  • Engage in rapid development of POCs when required to test out complex solutions.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of analytics and automation projects, resolving any issues that arise with a proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder communication.
  • Keep PWM Tech leadership informed of project status, changes, and any issues impacting success, providing regular updates.
  • Manage, track and meet stakeholder expectations of PWM business, operations and other cross-functional teams.
  • Balance multiple projects with attention to detail while meeting project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with agile project management techniques with a focus on creating high-performing teams and improving team velocities in collaboration with scrum master(s).

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of IT project management experience with a record of leading project teams for financial service institutions. Wealth Management experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Business, Project Management, or related field preferred)
  • Understanding of business intelligence and business process automation and their applicability to business applications.  
  • Expert project management skills in all phases of technology projects, including planning, scheduling, execution, requirements documentation, project tools and communication.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of issues and see them to resolution.
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with SQL preferred.
