Job Description

This role will be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, New York, Chicago or remote.

This role may be remote or hybrid. At LinkedIn, hybrid roles are performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. Remote roles are performed from the designated home work location upon time of hire, and any changes to this home work location requires a review of remote status and approval. 

The Sr. Director role overseeing our Global Consulting and Solutions HRBPs will lead a global team of approximately 50 HR Business Partners and HR Generalists within a centralized model responsible for contributing to the development of exceptional people managers, executing and supporting organizational change initiatives, and supporting talent management initiatives and processes across LinkedIn.  We are looking for an inspirational and experienced HR leader with the ability to partner and influence the leadership teams within our Global Talent Organization as we activate our talent strategies across LinkedIn. 

The successful candidate will have extensive HR experience, ability to develop best-in-class HR practices, be highly driven and self-directed, have strong leadership capability, and demonstrate operational excellence. The right candidate will be looking for an influential leadership opportunity while having the ability to effectively implement programs and overcome challenges. This role can be based anywhere in the US.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Lead LinkedIn’s global Consulting and Solutions HRBP team across multiple geographies and time zones, and cultivate a strong team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building, resourcing planning, and succession planning  
  • Define the strategic and operational direction of LinkedIn’s global Consulting and Solutions HRBP team, including ownership of the operational model, process design and improvement, team leadership, talent management, and the team’s overall operating budget  
  • Lead and manage a diverse team through flexing work assignments during periods of volume spikes/troughs/employee coverages, and ensure engagement and motivation are high during challenging periods  
  • Provide leadership and ownership in determining service level agreements and reprioritize/deprioritize work and deliverables as needed to accommodate urgent demands  
  • Lead and coach the team to partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build out and operationalize global HR processes  
  • Aggressively identify self-service and scalable opportunities to provide information at employees and managers fingertips  
  • Lead and coach team to deliver accurate and timely service to the broader HR teams, and to continually drive for improvements in the team's performance  
  • Ensure team adherence to service agreements and delivery of an exceptional experience to the global team and cross-functional stakeholders  
  • Exemplify and champion LinkedIn’s culture and values and be viewed as a role model who drives LinkedIn’s mission and vision  
  • Ensure all activities are perfectly aligned with all compliance rules, regulations, policies, and procedures   

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:  

  • 12+ years of progressive Human Resources experience 
  • 5+ years of management experience with demonstrated success in building, leading, and motivating effective teams  

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Able to design and implement global HR and operational programs and strategies  
  • Ability to lead, coach, mentor and motivate a diverse team while ensuring team and individual accountability and performance standards are met  
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment  
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivery of quality/accurate work products  
  • Logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and overcome challenges
