Role At A Glance 

Gecko’s software team is building a new product that is responsible for organizing data about a customer’s physical infrastructure, processing sensor data to understand the health of the customer’s assets, and helping customers make decisions and track progress around key infrastructure outcomes - such as increasing production, reducing unplanned outages, or reducing consumer energy costs. Gecko is looking to hire the first Product Manager to join the software department and help develop this new product.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the executive team to understand the product vision for the business and key priorities for the product roadmap.
• Partner with the Director of Software Engineering, Chief Product Officer, and team leads to produce a quarterly roadmap with concrete goals and deliverables for the software department.
• Embed with software teams to provide continuous, data-derived feedback to support the team's ability to work more effectively towards their goals.
• Iterate closely with both internal users and end users to test and verify the value of new functionality. 
• Collect and analyze feedback around pain points or product gaps, and identify other opportunities to increase the impact of our software.
• Derive insights and share metrics with the leadership team around software user activity and data quality.

About You

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Product Management role with a proven track record of success.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity: Ability to quickly get up to speed in deeply technical areas and collaborate effectively with both engineers and users.
• Ability to travel regularly (25% and up). Gecko believes face-to-face collaboration is an important part of building a strong team. Expect to spend significant time in Boston and Pittsburgh to be near the engineering and leadership team, as well as travel to visit customers.
• Deeply customer empathetic: Excitement about the prospect of hands-on work with engineering and client teams to solve important problems. 

 

NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure:

Salary Range: $140,000 to $250,000 annually plus equity, health insurance and perks.

This salary range is based on the current available market data, and represents the expected salary range for this role. Gecko Robotics has minimal hierarchy and few titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
