Description

Schedule: 12 - 24 hours per week (2 shifts per week) | 6:00pm - 6:30am

Pay Range: $38.77 - $46.06/hr. (this rate is inclusive of the $3.40/hr. Michigan Skilled Nursing Facility Direct Care Worker Pass-Through approved rate; current approval through September 30, 2026) 

Shift Premium's:  Night (11:00 pm-6:59 am) $2.00, Weekend (Fri 11:00 pm-Sun 10:59 pm) $0.50
What You’ll Do:
The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met in a supportive and respectful environment. Oversight of the daily nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
  • Conduct thorough health assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition, reporting any concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.
  • Provide wound care and other specialized nursing procedures.
  • Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and enhance residents’ quality of life.
  • Oversee the work of nursing assistants and support staff, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Complete daily and monthly documentation that is accurate, informative, and reflective of the care provided and resident response.
  • Perform admission and discharge procedures as directed.
  • Maintain up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and team members.
  • Follow proper infection control procedures to prevent the spread of illness.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification and stay current with best practices.
  • Uphold ethical and professional standards, including maintaining resident confidentiality and respecting resident rights and autonomy.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, required.
  • Current CPR certification or BLS certification, required.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly / geriatric care, preferred.
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment. 
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
