The Invoice Cloud Engineering team owns the overall architecture, development, delivery, data, site reliability, security, availability, and innovation of our industry-leading SaaS customer engagement, e-billing, and payment platform used by thousands of businesses and millions of customers.  As the Director of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in driving ongoing transformation to build a world-class engineering capability. This position reports directly to the Vice President Product Engineering. This role will be accountable for the leadership and performance of all software engineering activities that drive the product innovation and maintenance for a product domain. A product domain can include multiple cross functional delivery teams.

The Director will work closely and partner with peers in other product domains inside the Product Engineering pillar as well as other pillars in Engineering organization - Enterprise Architecture, Reliability Engineering and Platform Engineering. The Director will also serve as a critical partner to the assigned Architect and Product Manager Leader and assist in formulating domain level product strategies and roadmaps that delight customers, further differentiate the platform, and generate high revenue growth and low churn. The Director will play a key role in nurturing a culture of technological innovation.   

The Director will manage 10 to 20 team members across the United States and offshore partners. They will be accountable for mentoring and coaching the assigned group of teams, ensuring they are well prepared for these next phases of growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on leader with deep technical skills who has a passion for building and growing high-performance engineering teams dedicated to delivering innovative SaaS products used by thousands of businesses and millions of customers. We are looking for a technologist with leadership experience in financial services, preferably in the payments domain, who will be a strong business partner and problem-solver, a well-regarded and respected leader, and a hands-on engineer who can design and deliver complex software solutions.
