We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of various trades including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for responding to service requests at our automotive dealerships in the Fort Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines areas. This is a hands-on, dynamic role where you'll be performing maintenance tasks on-site, using a company vehicle to travel from dealership to dealership, and working with a variety of tools to keep our facilities in top condition.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to maintenance requests (tickets) promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions.
Travel to our automotive dealerships to resolve maintenance issues.
Perform a variety of tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
Use hand and power tools (tools provided) to perform repairs and maintenance.
Record service work and update tickets in the Cherwell system.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for reporting and compliance purposes.
Heavy lifting is required as part of daily responsibilities.
Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, OSHA regulations, fire safety codes, ADA requirements, and other relevant standards.
Participate in training sessions, meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance technical skills and operational efficiency.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Basic knowledge and experience in plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
Vocational training or certification in facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, or related fields is considered a plus.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Comfortable using a cell phone, computer, and iPad for communication and ticket management.
Must be able to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding work.
