HR Generalist

Village Automotive Group is looking for an HR Generalist to join their award-winning team.

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $24-27/hr

Responsibilities

• Assist with all on/offboarding needs through the company’s HRIS system, including background checks, auditing and processing new hire paperwork, e-Verify, etc.
• Prepare and maintain personnel files on each active/terminated employee to ensure legal compliance
• Administration of benefits, including monitoring employee eligibility, providing assistance during enrollment sessions, and enrolling employees
• Provide HR support to employees and managements in a variety of areas related to human resources including employee relations, FMLA, ADA, unemployment claims, etc.
• Assist with ensuring compliance in all areas of human resources
• Participate in HR Team responsibilities, including assisting with projects and correspondence, and assisting with employee event planning initiatives
• Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development
• Handle employment-relation complaints through problem solving and investigation
• Manage training and development plans for employees on specific training depending on position
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

  
  

Qualifications

• 2+ yrs of experience in human resources
• Ability to travel in-between dealerships (within a 2-hour range), as needed
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll processing and Google Workspace / MS Office preferred, but not required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
